The cytochrome P450 (CYP) isoenzymes are essential for the metabolic activation of the prodrug prasugrel. Little is known about the impact of polymorphism of these isoenzymes on the prevalence of prasugrel low responsiveness (PLR) in patients with coronary artery disease.
