Objectives: Recently, various endoscopic treatments for colorectal polyps have been reported, including cold snare polypectomy (CSP) and underwater endoscopic mucosal resection (UEMR), in addition to EMR. However, a precise treatment strategy for sessile serrated lesions (SSL) has not been established. In this study, we analyzed the clinicopathological features of SSL resected by EMR, CSP, and UEMR to determine the most suitable treatment for SSL.

Renal biopsies are essential for diagnosing the etiology and prognosis of CKD, while accurate quantification of tubulo-interstitial injuries from whole slide images (WSIs) of renal biopsy specimens is challenging with visual inspection alone.
Methods: We develop a deep learning-based method named DLRS to quantify interstitial fibrosis and inflammatory cell infiltration as tubulo-interstitial injury scores, from WSIs of renal biopsy specimens.
The brain is an organ that consumes a substantial amount of oxygen, and a reduction in oxygen concentration can rapidly lead to significant and irreversible brain injury. The progression of brain injury during hypoxia involves the depletion of intracellular adenosine triphosphate (ATP) due to decreased oxidative phosphorylation in the inner mitochondrial membrane. Allopurinol is a purine analog inhibitor of xanthine oxidoreductase that protects against hypoxic/ischemic brain injury; however, its underlying mechanism of action remains unclear.

Patients And Methods: In this study, oncology pharmacists monitored symptoms of patients receiving outpatient therapy with OMIs in real-time using a smartphone Web app for the early detection/early treatment of AEs. This feasibility study evaluated the effects of using the app in 10 patients compared with data from 10 patients who did not use the app.
