Sights and Sounds of Respiratory Changes During Hospice Death Vigils: Hospice Caregivers Experience.

Context: Research has documented common respiratory changes at the end of life for hospice patients. Some studies have noted these symptoms as distressing and challenging for families, and as a potential reason for emergency room visits and hospice benefit revocation. However, the experiences and emotions of family members regarding these respiratory changes in the final days, particularly when they are alone in a home setting, are not well documented.

A qualitative exploration of factors influencing healthcare utilization among rural Missourians: "We have to be bleeding, broken".

Researchers performed a hybrid inductive-deductive thematic analysis of 25 individual interviews to explore factors influencing healthcare utilization in rural Missouri. Data indicated that a desire for self-sufficiency, preference for natural interventions, and poor perception of rural healthcare quality may deter healthcare utilization. Influential subjective norms included respect for toughness and resilience, conservative approach to healthcare, view of the body as an instrument, and influence of faith and religion.

Solar panel converts direct current obtained from the sun into an alternating current which is often used in various applications. Photovoltaic (PV) power generation technology is used as a stand-alone system to bridge the power demand requirement due to increasing energy consumption. This paper aimed at presenting the design, implementation, and performance analysis of an off- grid solar power system for a Nigerian household.

The implications of ripening agents on chemical compositions of plantain ().

Foods frequently eaten supply both micro and macro nutrients to humans which are important in the total assessment of public health status of an individual. The analysis of these foods will provide evidence on their nutritional values, guide to appropriate choice of meal and encourage intake of varieties of food with better qualities during illness while preventing diet-associated disorders. In this study, the proximate and mineral composition of unripe, naturally ripe and the effects of ripening agents on plantain () commonly consumed in Nigeria were examined.

Dress and deportment of medical residents: formal or informal?

Purpose: Health care workers, including physicians, have adopted more casual dress. The appearance of a physician may influence patients' opinion of physician knowledge, competence and trustworthiness. We hypothesized that medical inpatients and outpatients would rate these attributes higher in residents who dressed and acted in a more formal manner.
