Objective: To report our experience of outpatient periurethral injections of Bulkamid under local anesthesia in the office in female patients for stress urinary incontinence (SUI). Polyacrylamide hydrogel (Bulkamid) is a relatively recent bulking agent which may have a better safety profile than previous generations.
Methods: The data of all women who underwent outpatient periurethral Bulkamid injections under local anesthesia in the office at a single academic center were collected prospectively between November 2019 and August 2023.
Introduction: The aims of this study were to describe survival outcomes in patients with ovarian cancer aged ≥80 years and to explore predictors of poor prognosis.
Methods: We collected clinical, demographic, histologic, surgical and follow-up data for patients with ovarian cancer aged ≥80 years from a multicenter French cohort (FRANCOGYN) who underwent surgery from 1999 to 2019. Primary endpoints were overall survival (OS) and disease-free survival (DFS).
Purpose: This study sought to evaluate the biomechanical properties of the interface between the rotator cuff and the semicircular humeral ligament or rotator cable (RCa) using histological and biomechanical techniques.
Methods: Out of 13 eligible cadaver specimens, 5 cadaver shoulders with an intact rotator cuff were included, 8 were excluded due to an injured rotator cuff. The histological study enables us to describe the capsule-tendon interface between the infraspinatus tendon (IST) or supraspinatus tendon (SST) and RCa, and to detect loose connective tissue layers to determine their precise location and measure their length along the interface.
