We describe a simple, cost-effective, green method for producing capped silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) using a handheld portable mesh nebulizer. The precursor solution containing a 1:1 mixture of silver nitrate (AgNO) and ligand (glycerol or sodium alginate) was sprayed using the nebulizer. The Ag NPs were generated in the water microdroplets within a few milliseconds under ambient conditions without any external reducing agent or action of a radiation source.

Background: The COVID-19 pandemic overburdened the healthcare system and affected the mental health of healthcare workers. Yoga has proven to improve mental health correlates, within diverse population groups, including healthcare workers. Considering the pandemic-imposed restrictions, this trial was designed to study the feasibility and effect of tele-yoga intervention on burnout, sleep quality, depression, anxiety, stress, mindfulness, and immune markers of healthcare workers on COVID-19 duty.

A catalyst-free method was developed for the ring opening of azlactones (also known as oxazolones) in water microdroplets. Azlactone was dissolved in a water : acetonitrile (1 : 1) mixture, and the solution is sprayed by using nitrogen gas at a pressure of 120 psi to generate microdroplets. This method promoted selective cleavage of the lactone bond to afford the corresponding -benzoyl derivatives in up to 94% isolated yield with no epimerization.

Background: An older person undergoes a 'disablement' process with aging. A comprehensive geriatric assessment centered around the functional status informs the healthcare provider of their frailty status, based on which tailored interventions may be designed to help prevent/reverse frailty. This study was conducted to assess the improvement in frailty index by training older persons for self-care practices using a multi-domain behavioural intervention, assisted by their caregivers.
