- The study aimed to establish the prevalence of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) among patients aged 20-65 at a military hospital in Pakistan from June 2013 to June 2014.
- Overall, the prevalence of NAFLD was found to be 47%, with 12.3% of patients diagnosed with NASH, particularly higher in Pathan individuals compared to Punjabies and Sindhies.
- Results indicated that men, diabetics, and hypertensive individuals, as well as those with higher BMI and poor exercise habits, were significantly more likely to have NAFLD and NASH.
The current study was undertaken to compare the binding potential of Prunus armeniaca L. and Prunus domestica L. gums in tablets' formulations.
