The discovery of a new class of nitrosamine impurities called N-nitroso drug substance related impurities (NDSRIs) in pharmaceuticals has emerged as a significant challenge for the pharmaceutical sector due to their significant genotoxic and mutagenic effects. Regulatory bodies globally in active collaboration with all the concerned stake holders, are taking effective measures to prevent and control NDSRIs. This comprehensive review on NDSRIs discusses formation pathways, root cause analysis, acceptable intake limits, case studies, control strategies and regulatory responses pertaining to recent NDSRI incidents.

Pelizaeus-Merzbacher disease (PMD) is an X-linked recessive rare disease condition in which audiological deficit is also observed. A 4-year-old male child with PMD underwent an audiological evaluation. The results suggested normal middle ear and outer hair cells functioning, with only peak I of the auditory brainstem response present until 30 dBnHL.

In the current study, a three-dimensional ureter is modelled. A series of peristaltic waves are made to travel on the ureter wall to analyse and measure parameter effects such as pressure, velocity, gradient pressure, and wall shear at different time steps.
