Systemic vaccination of macaques with V1-deleted (ΔV1) envelope immunogens reduce the risk of SIV acquisition by approximately 60%, with protective roles played by V2-specific ADCC and envelope-specific mucosal IL-17NKp44 innate lymphoid cells (ILCs). We investigated whether increased mucosal responses to V2 benefit vaccine efficacy by delivering oral nanoparticles (NPs) that release V2-scaffolded on Typhoid Toxin B (TTB) to the large intestine. Strikingly, mucosal immunization of male macaques abrogated vaccine efficacy with control TTB or empty NPs, but vaccine efficacy of up to 47.

The objective of this study was to investigate the effects on laying performance, egg quality traits, color, and composition of supplementing a white corn-based diet with leaf flour. Three hundred 32-week-old hens were distributed to 30 pens of 10 hens each and allocated to six dietary treatments (five replicates per treatment) for 13 weeks. Two control groups of 50 hens received one of either diet Y, based on yellow corn, or diet W, based on white corn.

  • The model predicted that ATLAS could result in around 1,500 additional HIV diagnoses across the three countries during 2019-2021, significantly contributing to increased awareness and potential treatment for HIV.
