Optimizing surgical margins in oral cancer without frozen section: A single center retrospective study.

Purpose: Frozen section analysis has been a cornerstone in intraoperative pathological evaluation for oral cancer surgeries, aiding in achieving tumor-free margins. However, its utility and availability are subjects of ongoing debate and research. This study evaluates the efficacy of a guideline-based approach to surgical resection margins in the absence of frozen section analysis in a resource-constrained setting.

Recurrent Rhabdomyolysis Induced by Severe Hypothyroidism.

Hypothyroidism is frequently associated with myalgias, muscle stiffness, easy fatigability, and occasionally some degree of myopathy with mildly elevated muscle enzymes. Rarely, hypothyroidism may be complicated by rhabdomyolysis, the rapid destruction of skeletal muscle with myoglobin, creatine kinase, urate, and electrolytes release into the circulation. Recurrent cases of rhabdomyolysis are uncommon as most patients experience only one episode of rhabdomyolysis in their lifetime.

Pharmacists as Interprofessional Collaborators and Leaders through Clinical Pathways.

Pharmacists possess pivotal competencies and expertise in developing clinical pathways (CPs). We present a tertiary care facility experience of pharmacists vis-a-vis interprofessional collaboration for designing and implementing CPs. We participated in the development of CPs as leading members of a collaborative team of healthcare professionals.
