In maize breeding, enhancing yield through genetic insights is crucial yet challenged by the complex interplay of agronomic traits. This study utilized a diallel mating design involving nine advanced early maize lines to dissect the genetic architecture underlying key agronomic traits and their impact on yield. Over two consecutive years (2018-2019 and 2019-2020), 36 hybrids derived from these lines were grown across two locations, Karaj, Alborz, Iran and Kermanshah (2019-2020), Iran, in a randomized complete block design with three replications.

Purpose: Limited data exists evaluating same-day discharge for pediatric Nuss procedure; most being single-center studies. Our analysis, using the NSQIP-P registry, aimed to assess if same-day discharge for the Nuss procedure influenced post-operative outcomes.

Methods: The NSQIP-P database (2017-2022) identified patients who underwent the Nuss procedure.

Background: Acute appendicitis (AA) is one of the most common reasons for visiting the emergency room. The lack of proper diagnosis and rapid treatment of AA may lead to severe complications such as intestinal perforation and increased mortality. This study aimed to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of the Alvarado criteria, ultrasound, and CRP criteria in comparison with their combined use in patients with suspected AA who presented to the emergency room.

Meckel diverticulum is the most common congenital anomaly of the gastrointestinal tract which is located in small bowel within 2 feet of the ileocecal valve. Nevertheless, an inverted Meckel's diverticulum is an uncommon condition believed to result from aberrant peristalsis in that specific area. This article showed signs, symptoms, and possible clinical presentations using CARE guidelines in a case of inverted Meckel's diverticulum and reviews other possible features lastly, definitive treatment, results, and case follow-up were shown to refresh, and raise surgeons' awareness of this rare disorder.
