Objective: To analyze the various dental management strategies adopted to manage patients with hemophilia in a dental clinical setup.

Methods: An electronic database search was carried out using MEDLINE by PubMed, Scopus, Google Scholar, Web of Science, and EMBASE databases from January 2000 to August 2023 for case reports and case series published in English language. Case reports addressing the dental treatments for people with hemophilia A/hemophilia B were included.

This study delves into the application of Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs), focusing on exploiting Steady-State Visual Evoked Potentials (SSVEPs) as communication tools for individuals facing mobility impairments. SSVEP-BCI systems can swiftly transmit substantial volumes of information, rendering them suitable for diverse applications. However, the efficacy of SSVEP responses can be influenced by variables such as the frequency and color of visual stimuli.

The emergence of brain-computer interface (BCI) technology provides enormous potential for human medical and daily applications. Therefore, allowing users to tolerate the visual response of SSVEP for a long time has always been an important issue in the SSVEP-BCI system. We recruited three subjects and conducted visual experiments in groups using different frequencies (17 and 25Hz) and 60Hz light.

Identifying new genes involved in virulence and drug resistance may hold the key to a better understanding of parasitic diseases. The proteogenomic profiling of various Leishmania species, the causative agents of leishmaniasis, has identified several novel genes, N- and C-terminal extensions of proteins, and corrections of existing gene models. Various virulence factors (VFs) responsible for leishmaniasis have been previously annotated through a proteogenomic approach, including the C-terminal extension of heat shock protein 70 (HSP70).

Article Synopsis
  • Mucoepidermoid carcinoma is a common malignancy in salivary glands, often linked to MAML2 gene rearrangement; primary cases in the nasopharynx are very rare.
  • A 70-year-old man was found to have nasopharyngeal mucoepidermoid carcinoma, and MAML2 translocation was confirmed through a specialized test.
  • Despite limited data, findings suggest that age and gender ratios in nasopharyngeal cases are similar to those in salivary glands, and most patients present with high-grade tumors, indicating a need for more research on MAML2's role in this cancer type.
