Background/objectives: Brown adipose tissue (BAT) plays a crucial role in energy expenditure and thermoregulation and has thus garnered interest in the context of metabolic diseases. Segmentation in medical imaging is time-consuming and prone to inter- and intra-operator variability. This study aims to develop an automated BAT segmentation method using the nnU-Net deep learning framework, integrated into the TotalSegmentator software, and to evaluate its performance in a large cohort of patients with lymphoma.

Characterization via ESI-MS, FT-IR, SEM, BET, and TGA confirmed their structure and properties. The beads achieved a maximum adsorption capacity of 4.

All three pathogens have high seroprevalence in the human population, are neurotropic and establish a persistent infection. We hypothesized that exposed (seropositive) patients with severe mental illness would show higher immunoglobulin G (IgG) concentrations than exposed healthy controls (HC).

Rationale: Postpartum iron deficiency anaemia is caused by antenatal iron deficiency or excessive blood loss at delivery and might affect up to 50% of labouring women in low- and middle-income countries. Effective and safe treatment during early motherhood is important for maternal well-being and newborn care. Treatment options include oral iron supplementation, intravenous iron, erythropoietin, and red blood cell transfusion.

An in-depth understanding of systemic inflammation and cellular immune responses after SARS-CoV-2 vaccination and breakthrough infections (BTI) is required for optimizing vaccine strategies in this population. While the prevalence of high serological responders post- third COVID-19 vaccine dose was lower, and the antibody waning was higher in IBD patients than in healthy donors (HD), IBD patients showed an increase in anti-RBD Wild Type IgG levels and cross-reactive Spike -specific memory B cells following BTI.
