Background: Thermoregulation interventions in the delivery room have historically focused on preterm infants and studies often exclude term infants or those infants with known congenital anomalies.
Purpose: The purpose of this quality improvement project was to reduce the rate of admission hypothermia in neonates of all gestational ages born with congenital anomalies and admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU).
Methods: Utilizing the Institute for Healthcare Improvement model for improvement, implementation of plan, do study, act cycles focused on standardizing temperatures of the delivery room and resuscitation bed, recommendations for temperature monitoring, trialing polyethylene lined hats, and implementing a delivery room thermoregulation checklist.
In the United States, college students have been identified as a high-risk group for sexual violence (SV) victimization and perpetration, with one in three women and one in four men experiencing SV in their lifetimes. Therefore, studies investigating both perpetration and victimization across genders are pertinent. Additionally, in the context of higher education, athletics is often viewed as a high-risk environment for SV.

Methods: Right and left pupil diameters of 126 ocular healthy subjects with a mean age 30.5±7.
Contrast sensitivity (CS) is widely used as a measure of visual function in both basic research and clinical evaluation. There is conflicting evidence on the extent to which measuring the full contrast sensitivity function (CSF) offers more functionally relevant information than a single measurement from an optotype CS test, such as the Pelli-Robson chart. Here we examine the relationship between functional CSF parameters and other measures of visual function, and establish a framework for predicting individual CSFs with effectively a zero-parameter model that shifts a standard-shaped template CSF horizontally and vertically according to independent measurements of high contrast acuity and letter CS, respectively.

The 1990s saw the development of research on violence against women perpetrated by intercollegiate student-athletes. Research in this field stagnated during the last 15 years, despite the fact that this time period has evidenced multiple high-profile, even fatal, cases of violence against women at the hands of male student-athletes. These events prompted the Office of Civil Rights to call upon universities to more appropriately investigate and sanction perpetrators of sexual assault.
