Scoping Review of Climate Change Adaptation Interventions for Health: Implications for Policy and Practice.

Climate change is among the greatest threats to health in the 21st century, requiring the urgent scaling-up of adaptation interventions. We aim to summarise adaptation interventions that were funded by the Belmont Forum and the European Union, the largest global funders of climate change and health research. A systematic search was conducted (updated February 2023) to identify articles on adaptation interventions for health within this funding network.

: Sleep stage analysis is considered to be the key factor for understanding and diagnosing various sleep disorders, as it provides insights into sleep quality and overall health. : Traditional methods of sleep stage classification, such as manual scoring and basic machine learning approaches, often suffer from limitations including subjective biases, limited scalability, and inadequate accuracy. Existing deep learning models have improved the accuracy of sleep stage classification but still face challenges such as overfitting, computational inefficiencies, and difficulties in handling imbalanced datasets.

The Effectiveness and Safety of Acupuncture for Mammary Hyperplasia: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.

Objective: This study aims to systematically evaluate the effectiveness and safety of acupuncture in treating mammary hyperplasia.

Methods: A comprehensive search was conducted in various databases, including PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, Embase, SinoMed, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang, and VIP Database, from their inception until July 2023. Only randomized controlled trials (RCTs) researching the use of acupuncture for mammary hyperplasia were included.

Acute Appendicitis in the Elderly: A Nationwide Retrospective Analysis.

Acute appendicitis (AA) in older individuals remains understudied. We aimed to assess AA characteristics in patients older than 60 years and evaluate the impact of comorbidities. This retrospective study analyzed data from the American National Inpatient Sample between 2016 and 2019 to compare AA characteristics in patients younger and older than 60 years.

Infarct Size Reduction in an Anterior ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction Following "Optimized" Supersaturated Oxygen Therapy.

This comprehensive case report documents the treatment of a 37-year-old female patient who presented with anterior ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). The patient underwent percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), followed by an innovative therapy - optimized supersaturated oxygen therapy (SSO). This therapy was chosen due to its potential to enhance myocardial salvage, particularly in severe MI cases like the patient.
