A stuck leaflet after balloon post-dilatation in transcatheter aortic valve implantation with a SAPIEN-3 ultra RESILIA valve: a case report.

Background: Transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) is a safe and effective therapy for patients with severe aortic stenosis. A Stuck leaflet and severe intraprosthetic regurgitation after valve implantation occur rarely but can lead to sudden haemodynamic deterioration. We encountered a case of a stuck leaflet following post-dilatation with the Edwards Sapien 3 Ultra RESILIA valve.

Consensus statement on chronic pain treatment in cancer survivors.

In September 2023, the Japan Society of Pain Clinicians (JSPC) issued this consensus statement on chronic pain treatment in cancer survivors. With recent advances in the early diagnosis and treatment of cancer, its prognosis has improved, so prolonged pain in cancer survivors is considered to represent chronic pain and should be addressed. In this statement, we emphasize that not all cancer survivor pain is cancer pain.

The effect of off-label use of reduced-dose direct oral anticoagulants therapy in the treatment of pulmonary embolism comparable to standard-dose therapy.

Direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) have been shown to be effective and safe in preventing pulmonary embolism recurrence. In this single-center retrospective observational study, we aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of reduced-dose DOACs in 86 consecutive patients with acute pulmonary embolism. Patients were divided into standard-dose and reduced-dose DOACs groups.
