Background: Complications due to dysphagia are increasingly prevalent among older adults; however, the tediousness and complexity of conventional tongue rehabilitation treatments affect their willingness to rehabilitate. It is unclear whether integrating gameplay into a tongue training app is a feasible approach to rehabilitation.

Objective: Tongue training has been proven helpful for dysphagia treatment.

Background: Operative delivery is a technique used during vaginal or cesarean birth to facilitate the patient's labor course through the assistance of a vacuum extractor. This method is increasingly used compared with forceps. This study aimed to investigate the forced effects of vacuum extractors comprising vacuum cups with different thicknesses on the fetal head and the vacuum extractor during vacuum-assisted delivery and to determine the optimal thickness for reducing the failure rate and minimizing neonatal and maternal morbidity.

Here, we report the facile synthesis of imidazole-linked porous organic cages (IPOCs) via an in-situ cyclization reaction protocol. Specifically, three IPOCs with [2+4] lantern-like structures and one with a [3+6] triangular prism structure were successfully prepared through condensation reactions between tetraformyl-functionalized calix[4]arene and bis(o-phenylenediamine) monomers in a single pot. Notably, these IPOCs exhibit high porosity, with Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) specific surface areas reaching up to 1162 m2 g-1.

Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) was used to detect heavy metals in 74 typical and representative commercial organic fertilizers (COFs) collected in major COF production areas in China. The potential risk of fertilization into soils was evaluated. The concentrations of heavy metals (mg kg) in these COFs were 1.

The separation of hydrogen isotopes remains a significant challenge due to their nearly identical physicochemical properties. Recently, metal-organic frameworks employing the chemical affinity quantum sieving effect have garnered increasing attention for hydrogen isotope separation. In this study, with open metal sites was synthesized and demonstrated high hydrogen isotope adsorption capacities of 266 cm/g for H and 288 cm/g for D.
