Effect of different implant positions for two implant-retained mandibular overdenture: a retrospective 5-years radiographic evaluation of the circumferential peri-implant bone loss and posterior ridge resorptive changes.

Background: Studies did not recommend which position for implant overdenture poses the lowest biomechanical risk and the least chance of peri-implant bone loss and ridge resorption for those who might need a mandibular two-implant overdenture. The study objectives were to investigate the impact of implant position, in lateral incisors or canine positions, on peri-implant bone loss and posterior ridge resorption.

Methods: Fifty patients with mandibular two-implants were recalled and divided according to the implant position into two groups (group L: implants in lateral incisor positions and group C: implants in canine positions).

Five years of radiographic evaluation for the peri-implant bone changes of all-on-four implant prostheses constructed from different framework materials using different digital construction techniques.

Polyetheretherketone computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing framework for All-on-Four mandibular full-arch prosthesis: 3 Years' retrospective study of peri-implant soft tissue changes and ridge base relationship.

Purpose: This study was conducted to evaluate the clinical peri-implant soft tissue changes during the first year after occlusal loading and the ridge base relation after 3 years for mandibular computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD-CAM) screw-retained implant-supported hybrid prosthesis of polyetheretherketone (PEEK) framework utilized with All-on-Four treatment concept.

Materials And Methods: Sixteen completely edentulous patients were rehabilitated by four implants following the All-on-Four protocol. After 3 months, the definitive prosthesis was constructed to be a screw-retained CAD-CAM milled framework from the modified PEEK (BioHPP), bonded to polymethylmethacrylate teeth and a pink shaded indirect light-polymerized nanofilled composite resin imitating the soft tissues.

Post-conflict development, reviewing the water sector in Somalia.

Somali post-conflict development faces many challenges that affect the sustainability of the water sector. This paper reviews and analyses the post-conflict development activities in the water sector through local communications and reviewing published materials and databases from international players in Somalia, funding agencies and financial tracking service. The paper has shown that there has been great attention and support given to the country during its post-conflict development.

Epidemiology, clinical profile and treatment outcomes of bacterial and fungal keratitis.

Purpose: The purpose of the study is to determine the microbiological etiology, epidemiological factors, and clinical profile and treatment outcomes of infective keratitis in Ophthalmology department, Minia University, Egypt.

Methods: Prospective, nonrandomized, observational clinical series of cases, including 150 patients with mean age 30 (range 12 to 85 years), 90 patients (60%) were males and 60 (40%) were females, clinically diagnosed as infective corneal ulcer, attending the Ophthalmology Department-Faculty of Medicine.
