Article Synopsis
  • Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is linked to higher cardiovascular disease risk, and biomarkers like SII, NLR, PLR, and MLR indicate systemic inflammation and CVD.
  • A study aimed to observe these biomarkers in a larger group of HS patients undergoing treatment with adalimumab and evaluate their relationship with disease severity and treatment outcomes.
  • Results showed that adalimumab significantly reduced these inflammatory biomarkers after 12 weeks, indicating a sustained response, while placebo patients saw no change; correlations with the severity of the disease were also noted.
