The coagulation activity of plasma phospholipid membranes (PM) was measured in plasma depleted for platelets (PDP) in 50 normal subjects and 33 patients with the antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) and the "lupus anticoagulant" in the plasma. The normal value for phospholipid activation of clotting was 99.8 +/- 3.

It was established that the count of thrombin inactivation during 5 minutes (Abiligaard method) shows no disorders in the majority of patients. Only in 3 patients with the primary antithrombin III and 3 (40% of patients with acute myocardial infarction showed a marked decrease of this parameter.
