Introduction: Temporomandibular disorders (TMDs) encompass various conditions affecting the temporomandibular joint and surrounding structures, often presenting with pain, limited movement, and functional impairments. TMDs may affect kissing and oral sex, in addition to influencing sexual function, as any other chronic pain condition.
Objective: The study sought to examine the connection between TMDs and sexual function.

We present a case of a 27-year-old man with recurrent episodes of angioedema since he was 19, who responded well to treatment with medical grade cannabis. Initially, he responded to steroids and antihistamines, but several attempts to withdraw treatment resulted in recurrence. In the last few months before prescribing cannabis, the frequency and severity of the attacks worsened and included several presyncope events, associated with scrotal and neck swelling.

The reported average age of individuals surviving this trauma is 21 years old, suggesting the necessity of good physiological reserves to survive this type of injury. Dealing with this injury in children may call for special requirements throughout all the stages of diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation.

However, the exact prognostic significance of this resistance mechanism is still unclear, mostly due to methodologic problems in P-gp detection. We therefore investigated, whether P-gp expression levels or functional P-gp activity better predict response to induction chemotherapy, relapse rate and overall survival in acute leukemia.
