Background: The diversity of the results of different hormone replacement therapy (HRT) protocols and the fuzziness of the conclusions have caused problems in routine clinical practice.

Objective: To develop an intelligent decision-making system for HRT specifically is appropriate as we use the abbrevation HRT in the background section in menopausal women in order to assist physicians.

Methods: This study consisted of 179 peri- and post-menopausal patients who were admitted to Hacettepe University Hospital (between 1996 and 2001) with various menopausal complaints.

Aim To develop a supportive computerized prediction system for the route of delivery. Materials and methods This study consisted of 2127, 3548 and 1723 deliveries for the years 1976, 1986 and 1996, respectively. We have developed a supervised artificial neural network (ANN) for predicting the delivery route.

In this paper a new multilayer perceptron (MLP) structure is introduced to simulate nonlinear transformations on infinite-dimensional function spaces. This extension is achieved by replacing discrete neurons by a continuum of neurons, summations by integrations and weight matrices by kernels of integral transforms. Variational techniques have been employed for the analysis and training of the infinite-dimensional MLP (IDMLP).

The point spread function (PSF) is the most widely used tool for quantifying the spatial resolution of imaging systems. However, prerequisites for the proper use of this tool are linearity and space invariance. Because EIT is non-linear it is only possible to compare different reconstruction algorithms using a standard data set.
