Environments are dynamic and complex. Some children experience more predictable early life environments than others. Here, we consider how moment-by-moment complexity and predictability in our early environments influence development.

Collaboration strategies affecting implementation of a cross-systems intervention for child welfare and substance use treatment: a mixed methods analysis.

Background: Collaboration strategies refer to policies and practices used to align operations and services across organizations or systems. These strategies can influence implementation of cross-system interventions focused on improving integration of care, but remain under-specified and under-examined. This study identifies collaboration strategies and the conditions under which they affected implementation of Sobriety Treatment and Recovery Teams (START), an evidence-based intervention focused on integrating child welfare and behavioral health services for families involved with both systems.

Bridging Carbonyl and Carbyne Complexes of Weak-Field Iron: Electronic Structure and Iron-Carbon Bonding.

Carbon monoxide inhibited forms of nitrogenases have carbonyl (CO) and carbide (C) bridges, which are common in synthetic iron complexes with strong-field ligand environments but rare in iron sites with weak-field ligand environments analogous to the enzyme. Here, we explore the fundamental bonding description of bridging CO in high-spin iron systems. We describe the isolation of several diiron carbonyls and related species, and elucidate their electronic structures, magnetic coupling, and characteristic structural and vibrational parameters.
