Purpose: Evaluation of the effectiveness of pneumatic vitreolysis in disrupting vitreomacular traction in our own cohort of patients.
Methodology: Prospective follow-up of 21 eyes of 18 patients with focal VMT (adhesion width < 1500 µm) who underwent intravitreal injection of 0.3 ml of 100% perfluoropropane between January 2015 and December 2020.
Microbiome of the gastrointestinal tract (GIT) has been identified as one of the crucial factors influencing the health and condition of domestic animals. The global poultry industry faces the challenge of understanding the complex relationship between gut microbiota composition and performance-related traits in birds. Considerable variation exists in the results of correlational studies using either 16S rRNA profiling or metagenomics to identify bacterial taxa associated with performance, productivity, or condition in poultry (e.

The hyaluronan was selected at two different molecular weights - specifically, 274 kDa and 710 kDa. Cetyltrimethylammonium bromide and Septonex® were chosen as cationic surfactants to interact with the negatively charged biopolymer.

Infections transmitted by ixodic ticks in childhood account for about 20%, and tick-borne encephalitis accounts for up to 25% of cases. A feature of the course of tick-borne encephalitis is unpredictability and the possibility of chronization in 1-3% of cases with late diagnosis and inadequate therapy. The article presents a clinical observation of the disease in a child whose chronically progressive course of amyotrophic form was diagnosed 1 year and 8 months after the onset of the disease.

In addition, NK cells affect the function of trophoblast cells, interacting with them via the receptor apparatus and through the production of cytokines. Microvesicles (MVs) derived from NK cells are able to change the function of target cells.
