ESKAPE pathogens rapidly develop resistance against antibiotics in development in vitro.

Despite ongoing antibiotic development, evolution of resistance may render candidate antibiotics ineffective. Here we studied in vitro emergence of resistance to 13 antibiotics introduced after 2017 or currently in development, compared with in-use antibiotics. Laboratory evolution showed that clinically relevant resistance arises within 60 days of antibiotic exposure in Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Acinetobacter baumannii and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, priority Gram-negative ESKAPE pathogens.

Background: Endometriosis is one of the most common gynecological diseases that can lead to infertility. The aim of this quantitative, descriptive, and cross-sectional study was to analyze the prevalence and the annual nationwide health insurance treatment cost of endometriosis in Hungary in 2010 and 2019.

Methods: The data used in this study were sourced from publicly funded, national, real-world datasets administered by the National Health Insurance Administration (NHIFA).

Why do students drop out of regular sport in late adolescent? The experience of a systematic review.

Introduction: The positive impact of youth sport on physical, mental and social health has been highlighted in several research which reinforces further investigations concerning the reasons for dropout of athletes. As one of the most emergent difficulties in youth sports is to prevent athletes from dropping out, it is important to explore what factors play important part in this process. The purpose of this study was to identify barriers and challenges related to sport persistence and dropout.

Surgical parameters affecting procedure duration of hysteroscopic fibroid resection: results of a retrospective longitudinal study.

Purpose: To identify and analyze the main surgical parameters affecting the operative time of hysteroscopic fibroid resection.

Methods: This retrospective observational study included 65 cases of outpatient hysteroscopic fibroid resection performed between March 2021 and May 2023 in outpatient office setting. Patients aged 18-50 with various indications such as infertility, recurrent pregnancy loss, or abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) were included.
