The CaribData project, funded by the Inter-American Development Bank and implemented by The University of the West Indies, aims to enhance data-handling, -sharing and reuse capabilities in the Caribbean. The project focuses on four main objectives: developing an online data-handling platform, creating a sustainable training and mentoring program, launching a data communication initiative and conducting data availability audits. To evaluate its progress, CaribData integrates two implementation science frameworks, RE-AIM (for Reach, Effectiveness, Adoption, Implementation, Maintenance) and the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research.

Background & Aim: Perinatal mental health disorders are common complications of pregnancy and the postpartum period. The value of screening for their early detection is well-recognized, but to-date, research-validated mental health measures for postpartum women in Malta are lacking. In this prospective cross-sectional study, we assessed the validity of the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS), an EPDS subscale (EPDS-3A), and the Generalised Anxiety Disorder-7 item (GAD-7) as screening measures for postpartum depression and anxiety.

However, depression and anxiety can negatively impact mothers' engagement with their infants and their infants' expressive language abilities. Australian mother-infant dyads ( = 30) participated in a longitudinal study examining the effect of maternal language input when infants were 24 and 30 months and maternal depression and anxiety symptoms on vocabulary size.
