Examining the Influence of Optimal Guideline-Directed Medical Therapy on Patient-Reported Outcomes in Adults With Heart Failure.

Background: Multidrug, guideline-directed medical therapy (GDMT) improves mortality and hospitalizations for heart failure (HF), but little is known about how optimization of multidrug GDMT influences patient-reported outcomes. Trials of single GDMT medications demonstrate improvements in patient-reported outcomes; however, the effect of the multidrug GDMT regimen on patient-reported outcomes is unclear.

Objective: The objective of this study is to determine how multidrug optimization during a multidisciplinary, advanced practice provider HF clinic impacted patient-reported symptoms and quality of life in adults with HF.

Analyzing the relationships among psychosocial variables associated with resilience.

Potentially Traumatic Events (PTEs) are common in current society, including college life. When exposed to PTE, stress reactions are greatly heterogeneous, and what contributes to psychological resilience is not well known. The purpose of the present study is to investigate the relationships among the antecedents, defining attributes, and consequences of resilience in a sample of 450 college students.

Interprofessional Education Simulation Project Using the Collaborative Care Model.

Background: Integrated behavioral health care (IBH), a team-based approach to care, involves behavioral health providers (BHP) to be utilized in primary care settings. Unfortunately, many BHP and primary care advanced practice nursing students do not receive IBH content in their educational curriculum. This article describes an innovative interprofessional simulation project (ISP) in a virtual IBH setting with primary care nurse practitioner and master's level counseling students.

Abnormal uterine bleeding is a common clinical concern for adolescent women. This research study aims to improve the clinical reasoning skills of advanced practice nursing students instructed in blended Objective Simulation Competency Assessment clinical experiences by enhancing feedback loops given to students during simulated experiences. A sequential explanatory mixed-methods study design was conducted with two cohorts of first-year women's health nurse practitioner graduate nursing students enrolled in the Women's Health Program at a large Midwestern university.
