Purpose: This study was designed to investigate risk factors for the development of cytomegalovirus (CMV) corneal endotheliitis following corneal transplantation.
Methods: We retrospectively analysed 1225 corneal transplants for bullous keratopathy between 2011 and 2021. 31 cases who were administered the treatment of CMV corneal endotheliitis preoperatively were excluded, and 1194 cases were analysed for risk factors for the development of CMV corneal endotheliitis following corneal transplantation.
Objectives: To investigate the details of disaster-related deaths due to the indirect health effects of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant (FDNPP) accident following the Great East-Japan Earthquake in 2011 and serve as a source of reference in the event of similar circumstances in the future.
Design: A retrospective observational study.
Setting: Minamisoma City, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan, which is located 13-38 km north of the FDNPP.
Purpose: To investigate the visual prognosis of ocular surface squamous neoplasia (OSSN) after tumor resection and ocular surface reconstruction, and clarify factors that influence recurrence.
Study Design: Retrospective cohort study.
Methods: Medical records of all patients who underwent surgical treatment for OSSN at our hospital between January 1996 and December 2019 were reviewed.
