Objectives: Studies have shown exercise rehabilitation training improves exercise tolerance in pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) patients. However, implementing such programs in developing countries can be challenging. We investigated the benefits of short-term exercise rehabilitation training for PAH patients in a developing country.

Article Synopsis
  • - The study examines the connection between humidity levels and daily human mortality across 739 cities, highlighting how different heat stress indicators can predict health risks related to extreme heat.
  • - It reveals that air temperature (T) effectively predicts heat-related deaths in cities with strong negative humidity correlations, while cities with weak correlations benefit from using humidity-inclusive heat stress indicators for better predictions.
  • - The research underscores the need for improved heat-health alert systems by identifying regions particularly vulnerable to humid heat, facilitating targeted responses to protect public health.

Unlabelled: Vanillin is one of the world's most important flavor and fragrance compounds used in foods and cosmetics. In plants, vanillin is reportedly biosynthesized from ferulic acid via the hydratase/lyase-type enzyme VpVAN. However, in biotechnological and biocatalytic applications, the use of VpVAN limits the production of vanillin.

Purpose: Meniscus extrusion contributes to the progression of knee osteoarthritis (OA). It is not clear which site of the medial meniscus (MM) extrusion (MME) is greatest. Moreover, the relationship between sites of MME and progression of OA has not yet been elucidated.

A nonribosomal peptide-synthesizing molecular machine, RimK, adds l-glutamic acids to the C-terminus of ribosomal protein S6 (RpsF) in vivo and synthesizes poly-α-glutamates in vitro. However, the mechanism of the successive glutamate addition, which is fueled by ATP, remains unclear. Here, we investigate the successive peptide-synthesizing mechanism of RimK via the molecular dynamics (MD) simulation of glutamate binding.
