Importance: Most dermatologic cases are initially evaluated by nondermatologists such as primary care physicians (PCPs) or nurse practitioners (NPs).
Objective: To evaluate an artificial intelligence (AI)-based tool that assists with diagnoses of dermatologic conditions.
Design, Setting, And Participants: This multiple-reader, multiple-case diagnostic study developed an AI-based tool and evaluated its utility.
Skin conditions affect 1.9 billion people. Because of a shortage of dermatologists, most cases are seen instead by general practitioners with lower diagnostic accuracy.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFIn mammals, DNA methyltransferase 1 (DNMT1) is responsible for propagating the DNA methylation pattern into the next generation through selective methylation of hemi-methylated CpG that emerges just after replication, a process known as maintenance methylation. The T1505, which is conserved among DNMT1s of vertebrates, in the catalytic domain of mouse DNMT1 forms the hydrogen bond with the W1512, which is also conserved among vertebrates and one of the essential residues in recognition of the 5-methylcytosine in hemi-methylated CpGs. However, importance of the hydrogen bond between T1505 and W1512 is unknown.

Mechanical circulatory support (MCS) is not infrequency required to salvage patients in a profound shock. Advanced technology in MCS such as a temporary ventricular assist device can yield improved early outcome.
