Deoxynivalenol (DON) contaminates various complex matrices, necessitating straightforward, effective cleanup and precise detection methods. This study employed immunomagnetic beads for sample purification and utilized a competitive time-resolved fluoro-immuno-chromatographic assay to achieve quantitative detection of DON in corn and its by-products. The limits of detection and quantification were 104 μg/kg and 243 μg/kg, respectively.

Objective: Hypertension increases the prevalence of depression to a certain extent and identification and diagnosis of depression frequently pose challenges for clinicians. The study aimed to construct and validate a scoring model predicting the prevalence of depression with hypertension.

Methods: 6124 individuals with hypertension were utilized from the 2007 to 2020 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey database (NHANES), including 645 subjects that were assessed to have depressive symptoms, 390 in the development group and 255 in the validation group.

DNA-decorated hapten (DDH)-based immunoassays have emerged, demonstrating supreme advantages in sensing applications because of their excellent sensitivity, specificity, and reliability. DDH combines both a recognition element (hapten) and a signal transduction element (DNA portion) with its highly programmable DNA structure enabling the trigger of signal transduction following a recognition event, thereby introducing a novel signal transduction mechanism to immunoassays. In this review, we provide a critical overview of recent research in the DDH-based immunoassays, which are designed to detect specific small molecules and antibodies.

Background: High-density lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL-C) has been considered a cardioprotective factor for several decades. However, its association with outcomes in patients with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) remains controversial. We aimed to investigate the association of HDL-C, apolipoprotein A-I (apoA-I), and the HDL-C/apoA-I ratio with multiple outcomes of HFrEF patients and establish prognostic models using machine learning methods.
