The Gi-linked platelet ADP receptor, now designated as P2Y12, accounts for ADP-induced inhibition of adenylyl cyclase in platelets and certain clonal rat cell lines. The pharmacology of this receptor is well characterized. Based on the functional approach of [35S]GTPgammaS autoradiography, we recently disclosed the widespread presence of Gi-linked ADP receptors in the rat nervous system.

A total of 520 patients (mean age, 21 years) were randomly assigned to receive either 300 mg of inhaled tobramycin or placebo twice daily for four weeks, followed by four weeks with no study drug. Patients received treatment or placebo in three on-off cycles for a total of 24 weeks.

In experiments on chronic rabbits the 2-hours rocking and antiorthostasis served as a model of influences of the zero-gravity conditions intracranial hemo- and liquorodynamics. Cerebravascular reactivity was evaluated as a response of cerebral blood flow and intracerebral rheoencephalography to functional loads (photostimulation, CO2-inhalation, Stookey test).
