Today nearly 9 out of 10 certified nurse-midwives/certified midwives (CNMs/CMs) attend births in hospitals. As the demand for hospital midwifery care has increased over the last quarter century, CNM/CMs' scope of practice has expanded to include care for high-risk patients. Hospital CNMs/CMs are faced with the challenge of balancing support for physiologic birth with an increasingly complex pregnant population cared for in a medicalized ecosystem.

Diagnostic modalities, including radiographs, CT imaging, and histopathological examination, are reviewed in conjunction with the latest literature on canine dentinogenesis imperfecta. This patient presented at a more advanced age than typically reported cases.

This study aimed to describe exclusive breastfeeding (EBF) rates at discharge at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and explore factors that contributed to changes in breastfeeding rates during the COVID-19 pandemic. Overall, 4762 patient charts were reviewed, 2000 from the pre-pandemic period, and 2762 from the lockdown period. Data was collected on EBF status at discharge, on maternal health history, and on infant characteristics.
