Persons with intellectual disabilities (ID) face pronounced health disparities. The aim of this study was to describe premature mortality by causes of death and avoidable mortality among persons with ID compared to the general Danish population. This study is based on a Danish nationwide cohort of adults (aged 18-74 years) with ID (n = 57 663) and an age- and sex-matched reference cohort (n = 607 097) which was established by linkage between several registers.

Introduction: Existing estimates of PD prevalence in Denmark are lower than those in the rest of Europe and are based on identification via single registries. Hence, are aim was to use a combined registry/self-report survey approach to identify people with PD and also investigate whether using different registry methods led to differences in the accuracy, completeness and characteristics of the identified cohorts.
Methods: This study had a cross-sectional design using routinely collected health registry data to identify adults, ≥18 years of age and resident in Denmark, with PD from either the Danish National Patient (DNP) registry or Danish Prescription Medicines (DPM) registry.
Background: During the past decades, social inequality in mortality has increased in several countries, including Denmark. Modifiable risk factors, such as smoking and harmful alcohol consumption, have been suggested to moderate the association between socioeconomic position and health-related outcomes. The present study aims to investigate the contribution of smoking- and alcohol-related deaths to the trends in educational inequality in mortality in Denmark 1995-2019 among individuals aged 30-74 years.

This study used an intersectoral partnership between the Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) Health Promotion Service, and Liquor & Gaming NSW (L&GNSW) Compliance Operations to test a site visit intervention to increase ID checks at packaged liquor outlets (PLOs).
