The impact of increased pharmacy schools on pharmacists' income: is it still an attractive profession?

Background: Pharmacy education in South Korea transitioned from a 4-year to a 6-year program in 2011, alongside an increase in the number of pharmacy schools and students. The change in pharmacy education may have reduced the attractiveness of the profession, particularly in terms of income. This study aimed to assess the impact of the increasing number of pharmacy students on the income levels and distribution among owner pharmacists, staff pharmacists, and hospital pharmacists.

Comparison of interference from eccentric movements of dental crowns fabricated via dynamic jaw motion tracking and conventional methods: a double-blind clinical study.

Purpose: The purpose of this clinical study was to evaluate the extent of intraoral occlusal adjustment required for zirconia crowns designed with a dynamic jaw motion tracking method compared to a conventional approach.

Materials And Methods: Fifteen patients needing zirconia crown restorations in the anterior or posterior regions participated in this study. Following tooth preparation, dynamic jaw motion tracking records were gathered using a tracking device.

The physical roles of different posterior tissues in zebrafish axis elongation.

Shaping embryonic tissues requires spatiotemporal changes in genetic and signaling activity as well as in tissue mechanics. Studies linking specific molecular perturbations to changes in the tissue physical state remain sparse. Here we study how specific genetic perturbations affecting different posterior tissues during zebrafish body axis elongation change their physical state, the resulting large-scale tissue flows, and posterior elongation.

Neuropsychiatric adverse effects of antihistamine: A nationwide data-based epidemiological study in South Korea.

Background: Despite concerns on the major neuropsychiatric side effects for long-term use of H1-receptor antagonist (anti-histamine, AH), one of the major therapeutic tools for allergic diseases, their association has not been investigated well.

Objective: This study aimed to assess the association between AH usage and neuropsychiatric disorder (NPD) incidence using the National Health Insurance Service Database.

Methods: This study was conducted using data from the National Health Insurance Service Database from January 1st 2002 through December 31th 2017.
