Background: Medication safety remains a global concern, with governments and organisations striving to mitigate preventable patient harm across healthcare systems. Look-alike, Sound -alike medications incidents and the safety culture are widely acknowledged as a contributor to medication errors, particularly within the high-risk perioperative environment. The Medication Safety Culture Indicator Matrix is a novel tool developed by the Canadian Institute for Safe Medication Practices to assess the maturity of the medication safety culture.

Iron oxide-hydroxide minerals in Martian dust provide crucial insights into Mars' past climate and habitability. Previous studies attributed Mars' red color to anhydrous hematite formed through recent weathering. Here, we show that poorly crystalline ferrihydrite (FeOH · nHO) is the dominant iron oxide-bearing phase in Martian dust, based on combined analyses of orbital, in-situ, and laboratory visible near-infrared spectra.

The enteric nervous system (ENS) controls digestion autonomously via a complex neural network within the gut wall. Enteric neurons expressing glutamate have been identified by transcriptomic studies as a distinct subpopulation, and glutamate can affect intestinal motility by modulating enteric neuron activity. However, the nature of glutamatergic neurons, their position within the ENS circuit, and their function in regulating gut motility are unknown.

Robotic-assisted bronchoscopy (RAB) has improved lung nodule evaluation, but its feasibility to biopsy aortopulmonary lymph nodes remains underexplored. This study explored the safety and effectiveness of RAB for sampling aortopulmonary lymph nodes suspected of malignancy. We conducted a literature review on RAB for aortopulmonary lymph node biopsy and present a case of a patient with a history of malignancy.

Background: SETD2 is the sole epigenetic factor responsible for catalyzing histone 3, lysine 36, tri-methylation (H3K36me3) in mammals. Its role in regulating cellular processes such as RNA splicing, DNA repair, and spurious transcription initiation underlies its broader tumor suppressor function. SETD2 mutation promotes the epithelial-mesenchymal transition and is clinically associated with adverse outcomes highlighting a therapeutic need to develop targeted therapies against this dangerous mutation.
