Purpose: Men diagnosed with prostate cancer (PCa) considering active surveillance (AS) are recommended confirmatory biopsy (CBx). Whether this is necessary in the era of MRI-informed biopsies is questionable.
Materials And Methods: We studied men with Grade Group (GG) 1 PCa at diagnostic biopsy (DBx) considering AS who underwent MRI and CBx (systematic + targeted) within 18 months.
Objective: To examine the concordance rate of MRI findings with intraoperative and pathologic findings in patients with Placenta Accreta Spectrum (PAS), as well as the use of structured reporting, and their relationship to clinical outcomes.
Methods: An IRB approved retrospective chart review was performed for patients with a history of cesarean delivery, a diagnosis of PAS on post-operative pathology report, and a placental MRI prior to delivery between 2008-2022. Concordance rates were calculated between final MRI, ultrasound, operative, and pathologic diagnoses, as well as impact on clinical outcomes.
A 40-year-old woman without history of endometriosis was found to have 10 cm pelvic mass on the routine first trimester ultrasound. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the pelvis demonstrated a large solid mass abutting the rectum which raised the concern for malignancy. Transrectal biopsy of the mass was performed with histopathology result of decidualized endometriosis.

An international consensus group recently updated these recommendations and identified the areas of uncertainty.
Methods: A panel of 38 experts used the formal RAND/UCLA Appropriateness Method consensus methodology.
Background: To validate the use of a cumulative cancer locations (CCLO) score, a measurement of tumor volume on biopsy, and to develop a novel magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-informed CCLO (mCCLO) score to predict clinical outcomes on active surveillance (AS).
Methods: The CCLO score is a sum of uniquely involved sextants with prostate cancer on diagnostic + confirmatory biopsy. The mCCLO score incorporates MRI findings into the CCLO score.
