Aim/background: Patient-reported outcome measurement instruments are important tools in understanding a breast reconstruction's impact on the patients' quality of life. A psychometric validation is essential before applying a patient-reported outcome measurement instrument in clinical practice and research. The BREAST-Q is a specific, validated questionnaire for breast surgery outcomes that has been translated from English to Danish.

In this study, we conducted a genome-wide association study using WGS data from the Long Life Family Study and identified a novel longevity-associated variant rs6543176 in the SLC9A2 gene. This SNP also showed a significant association with reduced hypertension risk and an increased, though not statistically significant, cancer risk.

Treatment with (R)-1,3-butanediol (BD) provides prolonged ketosis in healthy controls, but the hemodynamic and metabolic profile is unexplored in patients with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction.
Methods And Results: This was a randomized, single-blind, placebo-controlled, crossover study.
