Comparison of diagnostic accuracy between linked color imaging and autofluorescence imaging in patients with ulcerative colitis: A prospective observational study.

Background And Aim: Image enhancement endoscopy techniques, such as linked color imaging (LCI) and autofluorescence imaging (AFI), have shown promise in diagnosing mucosal inflammation in ulcerative colitis (UC). However, no studies have directly compared the diagnostic efficacy of LCI and AFI. This prospective observational study aimed to compare their diagnostic accuracy for histological healing in UC.

The immunogenicity and safety of an inactivated cell culture Japanese encephalitis vaccine (CC-JEV) were compared with those of an inactivated mouse brain-derived Japanese encephalitis vaccine (MB-JEV) in phase III clinical multicenter trials conducted in children. The vaccines contain the same Japanese encephalitis virus strain, the Beijing-1 strain. Two independent clinical trials (trials 1 and 2) were conducted.

[Brain metastases from Wilms' tumor without systemic involvement--a case report and review].

A 3-year-old boy presented with multiple brain metastases 21 months after the resection of stage II Wilms' tumor. Metastasis to other organs was not found. He was treated by total removal of a large metastatic tumor in the left temporal lobe and post-operative radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

Diffuse pleural rhabdomyosarcoma with persistent pleural effusion.

A unique case of embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma arising at the left pleura of a 7-year-old Japanese girl is reported. The present case was characterized by persistent pleural effusion, and the malignant cells incidentally found in it were the first diagnostic clue. The tumor showed a rare growth pattern involving diffuse thickening of the parietal pleura.
