Purpose: We are developing a three-dimensional X-ray fluorescence computed tomography (3D XFCT) system using non-radioactive-labeled compounds for preclinical studies as a new modality that provides images of biological functions. Improvements in image quality and detection limits are required for the in vivo imaging. The aim of this study was to improve the quality of XFCT images by applying a deep image prior (DIP), which is a type of convolutional neural network, to projection images as a pre-denoising method, and then compare with DIP post-denoising.

However, it remains unclear whether such virus-vector relationships also occur between plant viruses and other biological vectors such as arthropod mites. In this study, we investigated the possible replication of orchid fleck virus (OFV), a segmented plant rhabdovirus, within its mite vector (Brevipalpus californicus s.

In barley, the predominant cultivars possess long awns that contribute to grain yield and quality through photosynthesis. Barley is a useful cereal crop to investigate the mechanism of awn development as various awn morphological mutants are available.

On the other hand, spontaneous remission/regression (SR) is reported in various cancers including aggressive tumors like ALL. Infection or trauma-mediated immune system activation is assumed to cause SR, with the duration in cases of ALL typically being short.

Purpose: To investigate whether 3 intra-articular injections of leukocyte-poor PRP (LP-PRP) improve symptoms and joint function in symptomatic Japanese patients with mild to moderate knee OA.
Study Design: Randomized controlled trial; Level of evidence, 1.
