Histopathologic Comparison Among Drug Eruptions Induced by Enfortumab Vedotin, Brentuximab Vedotin, and Taxanes.

Microtubule-stabilizing agents (enfortumab vedotin and brentuximab vedotin) and microtubule-disrupting agents (docetaxel and paclitaxel) are used as anticancer agents but can also induce drug eruptions. Recently, mitotic arrest figures have been reported in various non-neoplastic cells as the histopathologic side effect of these drug eruptions. Therefore, we performed a comparative analysis of drug eruptions associated with these microtubule-targeting agents.

A 59-year-old Japanese woman was referred for an extremely low level of circulating high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C). The serum HDL-C level had long been within the normal range but suddenly decreased asymptomatically to 7 mg/dL. She had no typical symptoms associated with familial lecithin, cholesterol acyltransferase deficiency (FLD), including proteinuria, anemia, and corneal opacity.

Lorlatinib overcomes alectinib-induced hemolytic anemia in an ALK fusion positive non-small-cell lung cancer patient with severe tumor-associated liver failure: A case report.

Hemolytic anemia is a rare and unique complication of alectinib, not observed with other anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) inhibitors. Here, we present a case of an ALK fusion-positive non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patient who developed liver failure due to diffuse liver metastasis at initial diagnosis. Treatment was initiated with low-dose alectinib, but the patient developed severe hemolytic anemia.
