Teamwork among health professionals is a requirement for the delivery of excellent medical care; effective teamwork leads to improved patient outcomes and greater job satisfaction for health care professionals. A critical component of successful teamwork is effective conflict management. While preliminary evidence suggests that many health care providers have negative perceptions of conflict and conflict-avoidant tendencies, no existing research to-date has explored veterinary students' perspectives on conflict.

Methods: A retrospective review was performed of patients who underwent a minimally invasive hysterectomy between March 2019 and July 2021 for a suspected gynecologic malignancy at a single tertiary care center. Pre-operatively, patients were assessed for same-day discharge versus planned admission.
Rodent models and human clinical studies have shown gut microbiota-derived short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) play roles in obesity and insulin resistance. These roles have been minimally explored in cats, where in the USA an estimated 60% of cats are overweight or obese. Overweight/obese research cats (n = 7) were transitioned from a maintenance diet to a reduced calorie diet fed ad libitum for 7 days, then calories were restricted to achieve 1-2% weight loss per week for an additional 77 days.

Objective: To evaluate the impact of closure of small fascial bites compared with prior standard closure on incisional hernia rates in gynecologic oncology patients.
Methods: This is a retrospective cohort study comparing patient outcomes before and after the intervention at a single institution at a comprehensive cancer center.
Background: Chronic graft-versus-host disease (cGVHD) is a significant cause of long-term morbidity and mortality in patients after allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation. Skin is the most commonly affected organ, and visual assessment of cGVHD can have low reliability. Crowdsourcing data from nonexpert participants has been used for numerous medical applications, including image labeling and segmentation tasks.
