Aberrant Course of the Intratemporal Facial Nerve in Children with Congenital Hearing Loss.

Congenital facial nerve (FN) malformations are uncommon. Our aim is to determine the clinical and radiological features of FN malformations along with the associated cochlear and vestibular malformations. We conducted a retrospective study including children with a profound sensorineural hearing loss who were candidates for cochlear implantation.

Congenital crico-thyroid dysplasia: a comprehensive description.

Introduction: We describe a first case of human congenital crico-thyroid dysplasia associated to a right sided aortic arch and an aberrant subclavian artery.

Case Presentation: Our patient presented with a two-weeks history of acute dyspnea, and reported hoarseness since his childhood. An urgent tracheotomy was performed, followed by direct laryngoscopy.

Intramedullary spinal cord metastasis from breast cancer: an ambiguous entity.

Intramedullary spinal cord metastasis (IMSC) from solid tumors is rare. In this report, we describe the case of a patient treated at our center for breast cancer with intramedullary spinal cord metastases without bone and brain metastases or meningitis. Management of the disease remains challenging even with recent advances in the treatment of metastatic breast cancer.

Traumatic uterine rupture: A rare complication of vehicle accidents.

The rupture of the gravid uterus is a rare complication of trauma. It is reported in less than one percent of pregnant women who are victims of road accidents. The authors report the case of a 26-year-old nulliparous patient presented with a uterine rupture resulting in fetal death at 32 weeks of gestation following a nonpenetrating abdominal trauma in a road traffic accident.

Sinonasal Burkitt Lymphoma in a 2-Year-Old Child: An Uncommon Case Report.

Burkitt Lymphoma (BL) is a highly aggressive B-type non-Hodgkin lymphoma. It rarely develops at the level of the sinonasal cavities, especially in young children. We present the case of a 2-year-old boy who presented with a 2-month history of nasal obstruction, snoring, and epistaxis followed by a recent dyspnea.
