Clinical approach to palpitations in pregnancy.

Palpitations are common in pregnancy and warrant investigation. Palpitations may be caused by non-cardiac and cardiac causes. Patients with structural or functional abnormalities or inherited cardiovascular disease are more likely to develop arrhythmia, especially during pregnancy when the mother's body undergoes extensive physiological adaptations, which further contribute to an increased arrhythmia risk.

Clinical characteristics and pregnancy outcomes of women diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 in London's most ethnically diverse borough: A cross-sectional study.

Introduction: It is unclear whether pregnant women from ethnic minority groups and with metabolic disorders are disproportionately affected by SARS-CoV-2 infection within deprived areas. No previous studies have compared pregnancy outcomes with an appropriate comparator group.

Methods: Cross-sectional study of 32 women with SARS-CoV-2 compared to background departmental figures from the three months prior to the outbreak.

Phaeochromocytoma and Paraganglioma Excision Involving the Great Vessels.

Objective/background: Phaeochromocytomas and paragangliomas are vascular neuroendocrine tumours distributed between the neck and the pelvis and may be associated with catecholamine secretion. The aim of the study was to describe the complex surgical management required to excise these tumours when in close proximity to the great vessels (aorta and vena cava).

Methods: This was a retrospective case series.
