Background: Denifanstat, an oral fatty acid synthase (FASN) inhibitor, blocks de-novo lipogenesis, a key pathway driving progressive lipotoxicity, inflammation, and fibrosis in metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH). This study aimed to examine the safety and efficacy of denifanstat for improving liver histology in individuals with MASH and moderate to advanced fibrosis.

Methods: This multicentre, double-blind, randomised, placebo-controlled, phase 2b trial was conducted at 100 clinical sites in the USA, Canada, and Poland.

Introduction: Pharmacological treatment may be effective for treating positive symptoms of schizophrenia; no evidence of clinically significant effects on negative and cognitive symptoms, social and behavioral functioning. This review investigated treatment outcomes of multiple (at least four sessions in 4 weeks) group music therapy sessions adjunct to standard care in inpatients with chronic schizophrenia.

Methods: A systematic review search of five electronic medical and psychological databases conducted using keywords "music therapy" and "schizophrenia" up to December 2021.

Unlabelled: This trial aimed to compare the efficacy of a multimodal analgesic regimen with gabapentin to a multimodal nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) regimen following cosmetic surgery. This was a prospective randomized study of 106 patients undergoing elective outpatient cosmetic surgery.

Methods: Patients were randomly assigned to a multimodal regimen of postoperative acetaminophen, gabapentin, and oxycodone with an acetaminophen and gabapentin preload or postoperative ibuprofen and oxycodone-acetaminophen protocol without a preload.
