An increasing number of procedures over the past two decades for aortic stenosis (AS) reflects the combination of an aging population and less invasive transcatheter options. As a result, the hemodynamics of the aortic valve (AV) have gained renewed interest to understand its behavior and to optimize patient selection. We studied the hemodynamic relationship between pressure loss (ΔP) and transvalvular flow (Q) of the normal AV as well as the impact of a variable supravalvular stenosis.

Accordingly, this study reports the accuracy and precision of quantitative rest-stress millilitres per minute per gram and coronary flow capacity among 2D and two different digital 3D silicon photomultiplier (SiPM) PET-CT scanners for quantifying the severity of coronary pathophysiology for clinical trials or guiding interventions vs. medical treatment.

In fission yeast, entry into quiescence is triggered by nitrogen stress, leading to the inactivation of TORC1 and the activation of TORC2. In this study, we demonstrate that the Greatwall-Endosulfine-PPA/B55 pathway connects the downregulation of TORC1 with the upregulation of TORC2, resulting in the activation of Elongator-dependent tRNA modifications crucial for sustaining the translation programme during entry into quiescence.
