Objective: In children with bilateral cochlear implants(CIs): 1) quantify cortical access and sensitivity to inter-aural level differences(ILDs); 2) determine if cortical ILD detection predicts ILD perception; and 3) assess demographic and clinical factors that could limit ILD access.
Methods: Cortical detection responses evoked by ILD changes were measured in 22/24 children with bilateral CIs(7 female) using their clinically programmed devices and in 8 children(3 female) with normal hearing. Behavioral lateralization(left vs right perception) to ILDs was also measured.
Using a recently published scRNA-seq dataset of adult hermaphrodites, we identified a previously unknown regulator of the germ line stem cell niche (the distal tip cell, or DTC). The gene has the highest "marker score"-yet no known role-in the DTC. Using classical genetics techniques, RNAi knockdown, and live cell imaging, we discovered that integrates information from the Wnt and Netrin pathways to guide anteroposterior and dorsoventral DTC migration.

Objective: To compare the effect of the interleukin-36 receptor monoclonal antibody spesolimab 600 mg subcutaneous (SC) loading dose (LD) followed by 300 mg SC every 4 weeks (q4w) versus placebo on skin symptoms and QoL burden in patients with GPP.
Ionic transport critically dictates the performance of the batteries. Here, we proposed an anion anchoring strategy for enhancing Na transport kinetics that was based on introducing a separator with a positive surface potential. Besides, we developed a nuclear magnetic resonance-assisted Hittorf approach to address the limitation of the traditional Bruce-Vincent approach itself in order to accurately quantify the migration dynamics of anions on the time scale.
