Effect of solid lipid nanoparticles loaded with valproate and metformin on pentylenetetrazole-induced epilepsy in rats.

Valproate is a first-line therapy for epilepsy. It enhances GABA-mediated inhibition by increasing GABA synthetase enzyme activity. However, it causes hepatotoxicity.

Tragia involucrata Leaf-Mediated ZnO NPs: Biomedical Applications, Ointment Formulation and Electrochemical Studies.

Zinc oxide (ZnO) NPs, owing to their broad biomedical applications, have recently attracted the scientific community with incredible interest as therapeutic agents. So, the present study aims at preparation of ZnO NPs, using Tragia involucrata leaf extract and exploring their capability as antioxidant, anticancer and anti-inflammatory agents. Besides, the ointment formulation and electrochemical studies were also carried out in this work.

Antihyperglycemic and antihyperlipidemic activities of wild musk melon ( var. ) in streptozotocin-nicotinamide induced diabetic rats.

Objective: Wild musk melon ( var, CMA) is one of the edible plants form Tamil Nadu. Traditionally, this plant was used as diabetic diet (leaves of CMA with leaves), but there is no scientific report on antidiabetic action of this plant material. Hence, the current research work was designed to evaluate the antihyperglycemic and antihyperlipidemic effect of hydroalcoholic extract of CMA leaves (HALEC) in streptozotocin (STZ)-nicotinamide (NIC)-induced diabetic rats.
