Introduction: Bilateral sagittal split osteotomy (BSSO) is the most performed orthognathic surgery for mandibular dentofacial abnormalities. The most common complication is the neurosensory deficit. The current study was aimed at determining the incidence of inferior alveolar nerve neurosensory deficit (NSD) following BSSO surgery, and in assessing intra-operative nerve encounter status and possible relation to NSD.

Sugars, vital metabolites for cellular health, play a central role in regulating diverse intracellular pathways that control plant growth and development. They also enhance stress responses, enabling plants to endure adverse conditions. A few intracellular molecules involved in sensing the intracellular sugar content and concomitantly facilitating appropriate response (growth or survivability) are known as sugar sensors.

Synthetic data have emerged as an attractive option for developing machine-learning methods in human neuroimaging, particularly in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-a modality where image contrast depends enormously on acquisition hardware and parameters. This retrospective paper reviews a family of recently proposed methods, based on synthetic data, for generalizable machine learning in brain MRI analysis. Central to this framework is the concept of domain randomization, which involves training neural networks on a vastly diverse array of synthetically generated images with random contrast properties.

Polyhalite-based POLY4, a multi-nutrient source containing potassium, calcium, magnesium, and sulphur, is increasingly recognised for its potential to improve crop yields and soil health in agricultural systems. It is also been considered as a feasible approach for addressing the deficiency in potassium, calcium, and sulphur within a single application source. The present study aimed to investigate the impact of polyhalite-based POLY4 application, either as a complete or partial substitute for traditional potassium fertiliser and gypsum supplement, on the improvement of peanut () growth and soil quality.
