Developing a single-phase white emitting nanophosphor with high quantum efficiency has become a hotspot for scientific world. Herein, single-phase white-light emitting ZnO:Dy nanophosphors have been synthesized a sonochemical method. X-ray diffraction analysis and Raman spectroscopy-based investigations confirmed the hexagonal wurtzite phase for ZnO:Dy nanophosphors with preferential growth along the (101) plane.

The deep-seated mechanisms involved in the particle transport from target to substrate and subsequent film formation still need to be fully comprehended. This manuscript reports the property enhancement observed in laser ablated perovskite BaSnO films with Ni doping.

These nanoparticles are of excellent crystallinity and show a significant reduction in defect density upon Co-doping. By varying the Co solution concentration, it is observed that oxygen-vacancy-related defects are suppressed at lower Co-doping, while the defect density shows an increasing trend at higher doping densities.

The article reports the successful fabrication of Eu-doped WO thin films via the radio-frequency magnetron sputtering (RFMS) technique. To our knowledge, this is the first study showing the tunable visible emission (blue to bluish red) from a WO:Eu thin film system using RFMS. X-ray diffractograms revealed that the crystalline nature of these thin films increased upto 3 wt% of the Eu concentration.
