Purpose: The (Dobbs) Supreme Court decision revoked the constitutional right to abortion. Now, restrictive state abortion laws may contribute to the shortage and strain already felt in primary care practice, especially related to the provision of reproductive health care. The purpose of this study is to evaluate perceived impacts of state abortion legislation on family medicine clinicians' practice and medical education regarding reproductive health care.

Coordinated cell shape changes are a major driver of tissue morphogenesis, with apical constriction of epithelial cells leading to tissue bending. We previously identified that interplay between the apical-medial actomyosin, which drives apical constriction, and the underlying longitudinal microtubule array has a key role during tube budding of salivary glands in the Drosophila embryo. At this microtubule-actomyosin interface, a hub of proteins accumulates, and we have shown before that this hub includes the microtubule-actin crosslinker Shot and the microtubule minus-end-binding protein Patronin.

During kidney development, nephron epithelia arise de novo from fate-committed mesenchymal progenitors through a mesenchymal-to-epithelial transition (MET). Downstream of fate specification, transcriptional mechanisms that drive establishment of epithelial morphology are poorly understood. The ongoing Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) pandemic has highlighted the threat that viral outbreaks pose to global health. A key tool in the arsenal to prevent and control viral disease outbreaks is disinfection of equipment and surfaces with formulations that contain virucidal agents (VA). However, assessment of the efficacy of virus inactivation often requires live virus assays or surrogate viruses such as Modified Vaccinia Virus Ankara (MVA), which can be expensive, time consuming and technically challenging.
